Overview
Along the shores of the James River, the Jamestown 4-H Educational Center serves as the host site for 4-H Junior Camp for children ages 9-13. We serve 23 localities in Southeastern VA offering 8 weeks of sleep-over camp for more than 2000 children and teens each season.
4-H Junior camp allows campers to gain independence, confidence and “learn by doing” experiences through hands-on experiential programs. Program activities include:

Boating
(Canoeing / Kayaking / SUP)

Swimming

Creative Arts
(arts and crafts, music and drama)

Athletics
(court and field sports)

Shooting Sports
(archery and rifles)

Nature
(outdoor living skills, wildlife, and marine ecology)

Adventure
(low ropes course)

STEAM programs and teen leadership
