John Lewis
Outreach Speicalist
johnnl@vt.edu
ext. 14

It was a bright sunny day in late December 1984, when the world smiled. John Lewis, destined to be Outreach Coordinator of the wonderful Jamestown 4-H Center, was born. After a brief stint at early childhood, he quickly became a teen volunteer at the vaunted Hidden Pond Nature Center of Fairfax County. It was here he regaled many children in the intricacies of Box turtles, American Toads and King Snakes. Though this kept him occupied and content as he adventured through the educational hallways of Northern Virginia Community College, his soul desired to broaden its horizons even greater. He then transferred as an Outdoor Recreation major to the famed Radford University, which concluded with an amazingly successful internship corralling canoeing children at Holiday Lake 4-H Center. Afterwards, he leaped with joy and rapture at the opportunity to become the Outreach Coordinator at Jamestown; a position he is still enamored with today.

She has worked in numerous camps before hand, but has finally found her home back in Jamestown. A culinary prodigy, she produces meals along with Kate Coelln that surpass even the fanciest fast food restaurant or college dining hall.
