Home School Day Camp

Do you have a home schooled camper who loves the outdoors? Are you looking for a program that incorporates environmental education with fun hands-on learning and positive social interaction?

Then our Home School Day Camp is for YOU!

Where: Jamestown 4-H Educational Center

When: Various Dates in Fall 2017

Who: Home Schooled Children Ages 5-12

Topics included but limited to: Freshwater and Marine Ecology, Wildlife Ecology, Teambuilding and Initiatives, Outdoor Living Skills, Environmental Awareness, Recreation, Compassing & Orienteering, Archery, Canoeing, Fishing and More!

4-H Specialty Camps

Throughout the year we offer camps that are as unique as your child! Specialty Camps are designed to challenge each camper to reach their full potential and learn more about themselves and the world around them. Fall Archery Camp

October 13-15, 2017

- Learn the parts of the bow and arrow
- Learn how to shoot
- Learn how to increase your accuracy
- Learn how to become more involved in your Archery club in your locality
- This camp is for all participants: experienced and non-experienced.

There will also be an Archery Competition shoot on Sunday morning! You will use what you have learned to have friendly competition with other archers.

Fall CloverbudCamp

October 28-29, 2017

Plants are more than just things that grow in the ground. They supply us with food and oxygen. This weekend will teach us about plants and how to grow them! This weekend, you will be getting your green thumb!!

Cloverbuds will be:

  • Learning about where plants come from and how they grow
  • Learning what foods come from plants
  • Planting a garden

And more!

Next Level Bowhunting Workshop

October 27-29, 2017

Want to be a more successful bowhunter?
Looking for expert instruction?
Then this is the workshop for you!
WHERE: Jamestown 4-H Educational Center, Williamsburg, Virginia
WHO CAN ATTEND? Licensed, Adult Bow Hunters 18 years of age or older who have completed a hunter education course.
WORKSHOP TOPICS INCLUDE:

Bowhunting Methods and Techniques, 
 Treestand use: Placement and Safety, Camouflage, Scent Control, Lures, Calls, Shot Placement, Recovery of Game and An Evening Bow Hunt on a Wildlife Management Area!

Women's Wellness Weekend

2018 DATE TO BE DETERMINED

Wishing for some downtime and a chance to relax and recharge? The perfect escape is closer than you think. Treat yourself to a weekend designed for women 18 ages and better. Enjoy wellness workshops led by professional speakers in their respective fields. Explore classic camp activities such as archery, crafts or canoeing and kayaking. Join us for an active busy weekend or just come to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets on the James River. We take care of everything so you can enjoy a weekend of playing, laughing and learning with old and new friends.

Group Rentals / Retreats

Jamestown 4-H Educational Center provides the perfect setting for your upcoming event, retreat or program destination. We are located within walking distance to both Historic Jamestown and the Capital Trail, less than one mile from the Colonial Parkway, less than 5 miles from Colonial Williamsburg and 20 minutes from Yorktown.

Our property offers an unobstructed view of the James River and lodging and dining for up to 250 people. Our professional staff can provide recreational and educational programs for children and adults of all ages.

Two Lodges that sleep 50 each
Four Cabins that sleep 30 each
Six Dorm Rooms with private baths

Dining Services *

Let our professional culinary staff create the best menu to meet your needs. Choose from indoor dining in our large dining hall or outdoor dining overlooking the James.

Our staff can provide programs to meet the needs of your group. We offer outdoor education, environmental education and recreational programs for children and adults of all ages.
