Part Time Buildings and Grounds
Responsibilities include: landscape maintenance, lawn care, help with building maintenance & repair (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting) Prior experience with plumbing, electrical, hvac, pool maintenance is helpful.
Wages: $8 to $12 per hour
Hours: Varied to include evenings and weekends
Start Date: Immediately

Part Time Housekeeping staff
Responsiblities include cleaning buildings, bathrooms, floors, windows, furniture, trash pickup and removal. Prior experience helpful.
Wages: $8 to $12 per hour

Kitchen Staff Application
Details: The Center presently has several positions availble for part-time kitchen staff. Position duties include preparing and serving meals in a camp setting over varied daily and weekly schedules.
Requirements: Candidate must have a willingness to learn about and impliment kitchen procedures consistent with acceptable food handling and health codes, possess and demonstrate a spirit representative of a team player and passion for food preparation and enjoys working with children and adults alike.
Wage: $8 to $12/hour
Hours: 15 to 40 (flexible) per week
Start Date: Immediately - Positions remain open until filled.

 

Seasonal Employment

Summer Camp Counselor Application
Jamestown 4-H Educational Center employs qualified, trained, caring staff to work in our outdoor education program as instructors for environmental education, summer counselors and support staff. Teaching staff and some support staff receive a salary along with room and board in semi-private quarters. Summer teaching staff must be 18 or older and must be available mid May through August. Staff will participate in a state wide 4-H Camp training and on-site training prior to the camping season. Internships are available in the spring and summer to work under the Program Director. All staff should possess good communication skills and enjoy working with youth.
Note regarding all positions: Salary is based on qualifications and experience. Room and board are provided for the duration of your employment for counselors. Housing at the 4-H Center is a privilege. All staff are expected to follow the 4-H Center policies and guidelines while occupying the housing. Staff are needed from Mid- May to Mid-August, usually the length of the college summer break.
