Become a Friend of Jamestown 4-H Educational Center

Jamestown 4-H Educational Center has been successfully serving and making a positive impact for our youth and communities for over 80 years.

Our goal is to provide programs that help develop life skills for our youth and adults. Part of this goal, one that we feel we have met extraordinarily well, is to provide excellent quality experiences at very reasonable costs. Most of our camper families are unaware that the 4-H Center and its the Board of Directors, individual Extension Offices and donors have contributed upwards of 40% of the operating costs of 4-H Summer Camp Program to ensure that every child is given access to a quality program. Unfortunately, we come to a point in time where rising costs of operation are outpacing the ability of our 4-H Center to meet these mission requirements.

Still, we are committed to providing the highest quality experience for our 4-H Summer Camp Youth. Thank you for considering helping us meet our needs in this difficult economic climate.

I want to donate!

Our donors are the lifeline of our organization. As a 501 (c) (3) organization, all donations to Jamestown 4-H Educational Center are tax deductible. Individual and corporate donors have generously provided the resources to improve our camp with new construction, the expansion of existing facilities, and the purchase of new equipment. All of these improvements allow Jamestown 4-H Educational Center staff to offer new programming. Our goal is to provide programs, services, and activities that are valuable and provide our youth and adults with the best opportunities for future success and our donors make it possible.

Annual Funds
Options for your tax deductible contribution;

  • “Keep the Campfires Burning” Capital Campaign Fund: Lodges and Cabins renovation/replacement; Dining Hall porch renovation; shore preservation; new classroom space; Pier Learning Pavilion. an Educational Activities facility will create thousands of truly exciting learning experiences for youth and adult audiences across Virginia and beyond.
  • “Kids to Camp Campaign” Scholarship Fund: We are committed to giving all youth the opportunity to enjoy and not to miss out on the life changing experience that camp provides.
  • Operating Fund: supports the annual operations budget. This fund helps to maintain and upgrade the existing facility and equipment, support programming efforts and assist with other day-to-day operations.
  • Endowment Fund: principal remains and grows, income will support operations, programs and existing facilities.
